I hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween! I feel like I missed most of it this year. I usually spent October enjoying all my favorite horror movies, but this year I was working hard on my newest release. I missed the deadline I had set for myself by two days, but I’m happy to announce that my hard work paid off. Haven, the first book of my new series, has been published. I’m still waiting for it to go live on all the platforms I published it on, but if anyone would like to save the link, I will post it at the end of this blog post. Right now, it’s live on Apple and Kobo, and it should be available on Amazon in the next couple of days. I’m really excited about this one!
The idea for the Haven or Hell Series first came to me over ten years ago. The original concept was simple. The house we were living at the time had bars on all the windows and doors. I thought it would be a great place to live during a zombie apocalypse. I started thinking of a group of people stuck in a similar house, and the story started falling into place. In the many years since I originally had the idea, the story has gotten bigger and went in directions I never anticipated. It also evolved from a novel into a series. I’m planning for it to be a four-book series, but as it’s still being developed, don’t quote me on that. It may end up being even longer. Haven is the first book of the series.
Here is the blurb for Haven:
When the virus breaks out, Dana Flannigan only wants to keep her son safe. She finds this almost impossible to do as people everywhere begin turning into mindless cannibals. There has to be somewhere safe they can go.
When Mike Powell starts his day, he ignores the morning news thinking it’s all a scam. A virus that makes people go insane is the least of his concerns. He has more important things to worry about.
Hannah doesn’t know what to think when her parents suggest they play a game in the attic. She’s never been allowed up there before, and the thought of going now freaks her out. The attic is dark and scary, especially at night.
These characters and more must fight for their lives, and not everyone can survive. It feels like the end, but the apocalypse has only just begun.
Sound like something you would like to read? Check it out now or save the link and get yours when it goes live on Amazon. It will be available in both print and ebook. Here’s the link: https://books2read.com/u/3LYKXX
I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally see this series come to light. It took a lot longer than I thought it would to get the ball rolling, but there’s no stopping it now. I’m excited to start working on the next book in the series. If you’re not a fan of apocalyptic books, please don’t write me off yet. I also have a supernatural thriller in the works that I’m planning to release next year, along with the next book of this series. I have many other books planned as well, but I can’t give away all my secrets. I hope you have a wonderful week, and thanks for reading! -E.B.
